Question by Starry Eyes: What is the best way to preserve my netbook’s battery life?
I have a netbook (Samsung N220 Plus) and the battery life has decreased noticeably since I first got it. I have been unplugging it from the mains, letting the battery empty itself, charging it until full and then unplugging it again. Is this the best way to preserve battery life or is it better to leave it switched on when possible? Thanks.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, and I always make the battery setting “high performance,” so the battery life is always about 2 hours. But I was wondering how much I could get out of this laptop in the different battery settings (ex: dell, balanced, drive saver). Please help. Thanks!

You could easily get 7 to 8 hours out of it in power saver mode.

notebook cooler reduce the heat of the laptops components so, they will finish long.make sure that you choose a popular computer so that you tin buy replacement component for your laptop: I have a yesteryear IBM T41 ThinkPad which is similar 4 years old but, it has an user manual which tells you how to remove and replace all the different parts which you tin get cheap online. I’ve so ALIR upgraded the processor, the RAM and the harddisk.

It is a 60″ Pioneer Elite Plasma HDTV. The picture is awesome right out of the box so I’m not that concerning about enhancing the picture. But I am interesting in reduction it’s power consumption and extending the life of the TV if calibration will do this. A technician want to perform the service told me that it would.

Anyone out there owning an Asus N43Jf laptop???So i’m eyeing on asus N43Jf (14 inch laptop in the Asus N series). Reviews say that it has a 6 cell Lithium ion battery. But i cant find any reviews or spec listing indicating how long its battery life is. I’m really curious on its battery life because i definitely do not want a laptop which goes dead after just a few hours.

While I don’t know the specifics of the laptop you mentioned, battery life is always going to depend on what you’re doing with the computer. The LCD display is typically 1 of the highest power draining components on a laptop, though.
