Question by Vatsal: Does Blackberry poll the server each fifteen minutes to update the details for the consumer?
Some say the Blackberry goes to the server each fifteen minutes to check for any information in the electronic mail, this approach is called ‘Polling’ and other folks reveal that the BlackBerry does not poll the server to look for updates. It merely waits for the update to arrive and notifies the user when it does. What is the appropriate answer?

Greatest reply:

Solution by !amtheKing
The Blackberry, like every cell kind of device polls. But it does not indicate what you illustrate. The polling that requires area is a “keep-alive” sort of data packet. The function is to allow the network know where the cellphone is positioned bodily on the network at any given time. As a person moves from spot to place the cell towers maintain a record of those movements so that when you want to make a get in touch with or deliver information of any variety you will by now be linked and prepared go. This is how you get an “always on” connection.

The polling intervals range by providers but they are typically continuous IE every single so many seconds or nanoseconds.

If the network gets a piece of data destine for your gadget, the network sends the information immediately after it arrives. The network does not wait for any duration of time over and above the time it will take to ahead the message. There can be delays triggered by no or inadequate signal in which case the information is stored until eventually the connection is restored and is then downloaded.
