Question by sunny: How do I prevent windows messenger causing a problem when I start my computer?
When I have turned off and turn back on PC a window opens saying ” we’re sorry windows messenger has caused a problem and we need to close” Windows does not show in the remove programs area. I do have windows program running with msn, hot mail. How can I fix it? Thank you, Sunny

Question by Richard: How do you use Windows Defender to block a program from the internet?
I have Windows Vista Home Premium and I’m using Windows Defender as my firewall. I have an annoying program that always connects to the internet when I start it. Windows Defender doesn’t ask me if I want to block it or not. How do I set Windows Firewall to block that program from the internet?
When I went to exceptions, that program isn’t on the list. Is there some way to manually select a program to block?

Click on start, control panel, windows firewall, change settings, make sure it’s on, and then go through the “exceptions” list and make sure that the program you’re trying to block isn’t checked

Either use the recovery partition (different for all manufacturers, look up how to access it), or install Windows from a flash drive (again, look it up, because it’s different depending on your version of Windows).

I know that you can show what you’re listening to in Windows Media Player by going to Tools > Plug-ins > Windows Live Messenger Music Plugin
But how do you do this when listening to a song in iTunes?
I have iTunes 8 and the newest WLM..

Windows Live Messenger 2009 (and previous versions) will display the song you´re listening to in whatever program you have set as your Default Audio Player in Default Programs under Windows Control Panel.
So go there and make sure you have iTunes selected to play all files it can.
